Teen moms have to live through the social inequalities of stereotypes and lack of motivation.
I remember the day as if it was yesterday; the day was filled with light, and the shinning rays reflected upon the baby's eyes. The day that my cousin gave birth was unforgettable. I was then thirteen and she was fifteen. We were really close but since then I knew we were going to be even closer because a baby always brings joy and happiness to a family. After so many negative statements about her getting pregnant at a young age she was able to put the comments aside and accomplished her life through high school and halfway through college. As a teen, I believe that being pregnant at a young age will not affect the way of living your life. When a teenager gets pregnant it doesn't mean that life came to an end. Just because they are are teen parents doesn't mean that they aren't capable of having strength for their children and push themselves further to succeed in life; a pregnancy isn't the end of the road. Sometimes teenagers get pregnant at a young age thinking that their baby daddy is going to stay with them since she's pregnant, but as the 2015 National Cam-pain to prevent teen and unplanned pregnancy stated " 8 out of 10 fathers don't marry the mother of their children." Yet, I believe that a single mother can raise her children straight on a good path by themselves the only thing that they have to keep in mind is their children and that they have to be before everything. Like I said earlier label are created defining teens as the movie the Pregnancy Project is a good way to get teenagers girls to learn that pregnancy isn't that bad, but that their life will change not only because they'll be moving into motherhood, but because stereotypes are going to be affect them physically and mentally . Even if the labels hurt life continues not only for you but for the little one you're carrying inside you.
